4th Of July Fireworks and Events Lafayette 2021

We are headed into fireworks season again, so I thought I’d put together a list of the local events for you to check out. Please know this list will be updated frequently, as we hear what events will be taking place. Some events may be announced close to the last minute as communities decide how to proceed with COVID regulations and such. Here is what I have found so far. Stay tuned Lafayette! 

River Days: A Wabash Riverfest Adventure 2021

7/2/2021 – 7/18/2021

Learn about and enjoy Indiana’s Wabash River through conservation exhibits, river float trips, charcoal drawing classes, guided riverside hikes, a rock climbing wall, a 5k, and a scavenger hunt using the GooseChase App. Wabash Riverfest is specifically designed to enhance appreciation of Greater Lafayette’s most-prized natural resource, the Wabash River. River days is our opportunity for meaningful, intentional, and safe engagement with the Wabash as our community handles the ongoing pandemic.

Visit www.WabashRiverfest.com for a detailed schedule and event sign ups. Masks are required at each event and social distancing will be followed. All events are free, except for the 5k registration.

Canal Days Festival at Wabash & Erie Canal Park

7/3/2021 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 1030 N Washington St. Delphi

This festival features all buildings open in Canal Park and crafters inside and outdoors showing their skills with making and selling products. Ride the canal boat and enjoy the following: narrated walking tours, Pioneer Village crafters & docents, kids games & crafts, Case House tours, vendors in the village, Canal Museum, Summer Kitchen open with food & snacks.

Lake Freeman Fireworks

New location this year on the West side of the Lake across from Tall Timbers Marina.

Family Picnic at The Farm At Prophetstown

7/3/2021 from 12:00 – 3:00 PM at The Farm At Prophetstown

Family friendly lunch on The Farm! Buffet lunch featuring farm beef and pork. $15 for adults, $7 kids 4-12, and children 3 and under FREE. Call 765-567-4700 to book your spot, park admission not included.

Watermelon Party At Wolf Park

7/3/2021 at 1:00 PM at Wolf Park in Battle Ground

Join Wolf Park for a Watermelon Party! Enjoy seeing the animals interact with their treat-filled watermelons.

We welcome you to walk the trail for a self-guided tour. Staff will be stationed around the trail for you to ask questions as the watermelons are delivered on a rotating schedule to each animal.

Doors will be open between 1-5pm for you to visit at any point. Note if you arrive just before 5pm, you will likely not see much. Our ongoing delivery schedule will start at 1pm and repeat again at 3pm. This means if you arrive by 1pm or by 3pm, you will have the opportunity to see all individuals receiving their watermelons!

Members and Sponsors are FREE and do not require reservations. Simply show your membership card at the check-in desk!

Stars And Stripes Celebration 

7/4/2021 at Riehle Plaza Downtown Lafayette

Citizens Band performs a patriotic concert, followed by a robust firework display at dusk (usually around 10 PM).

4th Of July Festival

7/4/2021 at TPA Park

Free event at TPA Park in Frankfort.

Farm Scavenger Hunt

7/4/2021 12:00 – 2:00 PM at The Farm At Prophetstown

Enjoy the history on The Farm during a family friendly scavenger hunt. Complete the hunt and receive a treat while supplies last. FREE with park admission.

Prophetstown State Park Presents: Water Olympics at The Aquatic Center

7/4/2021 starting at 1:15 PM at the Aquatic Center at Prophetstown State Park

Come test the physics of water through some fun water games at 1:15, 3:15, and 5:15pm! Sidewalk chalk and bubbles will be available for some added fun! You must pay Aquatic Center entry fee to participate in this program.For all programs:
Bug spray, sunscreen, and a full water bottle are recommended.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
All programming free with park admission unless otherwise noted. All times are Eastern.
Campground programs are also open to the public—park at the campground gate and walk in.

Town Of Fowler Fireworks

Celebrate your 4th of July with an amazing fireworks display in Fowler! Watch the fireworks, socially distanced, from your favorite venue including the Fowler Town Park. Due to Covid concerns, the parade and festival will not take place this year, only fireworks. We look forward to getting back on track in 2022.
